About the Company

Where does 613 come from? Well, I was born on June 13th. The first book from this company was “The 13th Demon”. But, most importantly, one of my favorite Bible verses is Ephesians 6:13: “Therefore take up the whole armor of God, so that you may be able to withstand on that evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm.” My hope is to stand firm in my beliefs and let those beliefs be reflected in everything produced by 613media.

What started out as a self publishing business has evolved into a conventional publishing partnership with Strang Communications, a Christian publisher. I started out writing drama and found success with a collection of children’s dramas for Contemporary Drama/Meriwether Publishing in 1995. Shortly after that, I experienced a crisis in my life and suffered through two years of Christian counseling for severe depression. My pastor and best friend, Mark Sutton asked me to help him co-author a book on depression. In 2001, B&H Publishing (Broadman & Holman) published “Conquering Depression” which has enjoyed success since that time. God has used this book to change the lives of countless people for the better.

In 2000, I started working on the Jonathan Steel Chronicles, a book series of supernatural fiction based on spiritual warfare. I self published “The 13th Demon” in 2006 followed by “The 12th Demon” with BookPros in 2008.

Since that time, I have found the best agent in the world and I have signed a contract to continue the Jonathan Steel Chronicles under the Realms book imprint.

613media exists to help promote these published works and in the future will feature the publication of my full length dramas. These scripts have been requested over and over in the years since their initial performance in the mid-1990‘s. Speaking at drama conferences around the country, I have been fortunate to have requests for these scripts and I am working hard to make them available through this site.
