After years of frustration dealing with the publishing industry, I decided to form my own publishing and media company.

The Christian music scene has seen an upheaval in the past few years. Christian singers and bands have gone mainstream with their music and their message. At times, this proved confusing to the Christian music industry. At times, excellent singers have left large music labels because these traditional entities did not recognize the need for taking whatever risks were necessary to reach the world with a different kind of musical approach. Such successes as the Square Peg Alliance are examples of artists willing to think outside the box and take whatever risks are necessary to get the Message out there to a world going to hell in a hurry.

The new print on demand publishing industry gives freedom to the writer who wants to be true to the Story. Taking my cue from the independent Christian artist, I have formed 613media. 613media is designed first and foremost to showcase my writings, but in the future may expand to include the writings of good writers who have been rejected by the system. See the Publishing Philosophy for more information. Where does 613 come from? Well, I was born on June 13th. The first book from this company is “The 13th demon”. But, most importantly, one of my favorite Bible verses is Ephesians 6:13: “Therefore take up the whole armor of God, so that you may be able to withstand on that evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm.” My hope is to stand firm in my beliefs and let those beliefs be reflected in everything published by 613media.
